The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jack Painter can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Anita Freeman-Phillips

Catherine, Tamara, Melanie, and Family, My heartfelt sympathy and love to you and yours. I have such wonderful memories of all of you during Pastor Jack's time of service with First Baptist in Altavista. Catherine taught me piano lessons and I loved it when my sister, Donna, and I could come together for lessons because Melanie and I could play and get into mischief (swinging on vines in the woods out back or having water fights) when it was Donna's turn at the piano. Around the time Neil Armstrong took his first step on the moon, Pastor Jack led me to Christ and baptized me during a very special weeklong revival. Over the years, any mention of Jack Painter or his family has filled my spirit with love and joy. I will hold you in my heart and thoughts and prayers. Much love, Anita
