Mrs. Holmes was always active in church by sharing her God-given talent of playing the piano and organ. She always received much joy and comfort through music. She is also survived by three sisters Julia Price, Audrey Duncan, and Peggy Rhodes. She was preceded in death of siblings Louise Johnson, Douglas Webb, and John Henry Webb, and her parents.
Hattie and Ray dearly loved their six grandchildren: David Preston Hensley, Tina Hensley Izzo, Candy Burt Cremeans, Michael J. Hensley, Heather Hensley Oakes, and Lauren Hobbs La May. She was blessed that she was able to know her fourteen great-grandchildren, as well as the spouses of her grandchildren.
