Obituary for John Thomas Marsh

John Thomas Marsh, 85, went to be with his Lord on December 30, 2017. He was born in Winston-Salem, NC on December 26, 1932 to
John Dewey Marsh and Mollie Ellen Speer Marsh. He was preceded in death by his father John Dewey Marsh, mother Mollie Ellen Speer Marsh, sister Stella Marsh, sister Lois Marsh Mawyer and sister Geneva Marsh Dowdy.

John served in the US Army, Signal Corps for three years and was stationed in Tague, Korea for eighteen months. He was employed by Xerox Corporation for 30 years and retired at age 54. He then worked for Emory part-time for 10 years. He was an active member of South Hills Baptist Church for 35 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 64 years Mary Lane Marsh,
Son James Carlton Marsh (Deborah), daughter Johnna Marsh Dilling, granddaughters Michelle Marsh Schweitzer (Michael), and Kristin Nicole Dilling, great grandchildren Felicity Schweitzer, Nathan Schweitzer and Allison Schweitzer.

There will be no visitation. Service will be held at Montlawn Funeral Home, Raleigh NC on Wednesday January 3rd at 2:00pm with Pastor Brian Lowman officiating.
