Patsy Jane Smith Blanton, 80, died peacefully at her residence on Tuesday with her family by her side. Patsy was a beloved wife, mother and Mema who loved her family. She enjoyed needlepoint, cooking and collecting cookbooks. She volunteered at the local elementary school and enjoyed walking in her neighborhood with her friends. She also enjoyed travelling and vacations with her family.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Elbert Ray Blanton; sons, Bryan James Blanton and wife Lisa of Cary and Kevin Ray Blanton and wife Angela of Apex; granddaughters, Amber and Lauren Blanton; niece, Gwen Wetherington of Stella; nephews, Bill and Woody Hargett of Stella.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, July 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 12:30 – 2:00 pm on Saturday.
